I had the privilege of speaking to the students at Langley Equestrian Academy about Equine Performance Therapy.
I explained what it is and how it helps our horses stay comfortable and happy, how to find a qualified bodyworker for your horse, where the industry is going, and how to select a good school if you want to become one yourself - and what to expect after school!
We also discussed fascia, common causes of muscle tension and fascia adhesions, and how you can utilize grooming tools and your own hands to make your horse more comfortable. "Grooming with intent" is also a great way to establish a baseline for your horse and catch muscle tension and sorenesss right when it starts.
Huge thanks again to Langley Equestrian Academy, it's an awesome program and I was delighted to join you!
Also a big thank you to Lexi Langset for allowing us to use your lovely horses for the demo.
